The Campaign for Dignity Governance (CDG) has formally expressed its confidence in the leadership capacity of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, describing him as a capable, experienced, and visionary public servant whose contributions to governance have positioned him as a worthy leader for greater responsibility.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the Convener of the organization, Razaq Olokoba, said the endorsement follows years of observing Dr. Hamzat’s commitment to public service, loyalty to the developmental vision of Lagos State, and dedication to the successful implementation of government policies and programmes.
According to the group, one of the most admirable qualities of Dr. Hamzat is his unwavering loyalty to governance and his consistent support for the developmental agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The group noted that effective leadership is not measured solely by ambition but by commitment to service, teamwork, and the ability to advance collective goals.
“Dr. Hamzat has consistently demonstrated loyalty, discipline, competence, and commitment to the vision of a Greater Lagos. Throughout his years in public service, he has remained focused on governance and development,” Olokoba stated.
The Campaign for Dignity Governance further described Hamzat as a leader of high moral standards whose conduct in public office has earned him respect across political, professional, and community circles.
According to the statement, integrity remains one of the most important qualities required of leaders, and Hamzat has consistently demonstrated ethical conduct, accountability, humility, and transparency.
The group also praised his exceptional understanding of governance, technology, public administration, infrastructure development, and policy implementation.
It noted that Hamzat’s contributions to various administrations in Lagos have played significant roles in strengthening institutions, improving public service delivery, and advancing innovation in governance.
“Dr. Hamzat possesses the rare combination of intellectual depth, administrative experience, political maturity, and practical governance knowledge. These qualities distinguish him as one of the most prepared leaders in contemporary Lagos politics,” the statement added.
The organization further described him as a bridge-builder, consensus leader, and outstanding mobiliser capable of bringing people together around a common vision for development.
According to the group, Lagos requires continuity, stability, competence, and leadership that understands the state’s unique challenges and opportunities.
The Campaign for Dignity Governance expressed confidence that Hamzat possesses the experience and capacity required to protect and expand the achievements already recorded under the current administration.
“The dream of a Greater Lagos is safe in the hands of leaders who understand its history, its vision, and its future. Dr. Hamzat has repeatedly demonstrated that he possesses that understanding,” Olokoba said.
The group concluded by strongly recommending Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as a trusted, competent, transparent, and visionary leader whose experience and character make him exceptionally qualified for greater leadership responsibility.
