Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has unveiled a photographic book titled “Sanwo-Olu: Against All Odds – A Photo Story of Resilience in the Face of Adversity,” describing it as a visual record of leadership, resilience and the remarkable transformation of Lagos under his administration.
The book, authored by the governor’s Executive Assistant and official photographer, Mr. Ademola Olaniran, documents some of the defining moments of Sanwo-Olu’s first term in office and the early years of his second term. It presents a pictorial account of the challenges faced by the administration and the milestones achieved despite difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the unveiling, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the publication goes beyond a collection of photographs, noting that it reflects the resilience of Lagos and the determination of its people to overcome adversity. He described the work as a testament to leadership, continuity and the enduring spirit that has continued to drive the state’s progress.
According to the governor, the book captures significant events that shaped his administration, including the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, the aftermath of the EndSARS protests, major infrastructure projects, economic reforms and various social intervention programmes implemented to improve the lives of residents.
Sanwo-Olu commended the author for preserving important moments in the state’s history through photography, adding that the publication serves as a valuable historical record for future generations. He said the images tell the story of a government that remained focused on delivering impactful projects while navigating unprecedented challenges.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining the pace of development across Lagos, promising to continue implementing policies and projects that promote economic growth, improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The photographic publication offers readers a unique visual perspective on the evolution of Lagos, highlighting the state’s resilience, achievements and ongoing transformation under the Sanwo-Olu administration.
