The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the maiden National Intermediate Games, Eko 2026, has unveiled the official website of the multi-sport competition, designed to provide athletes, officials, spectators and the general public with timely and comprehensive information about the Games.
The newly launched platform, eko2026.org, is expected to serve as the primary digital hub for information and updates before, during and after the sporting fiesta.
According to the LOC, the website was developed with simplicity, accessibility and user experience in mind, allowing visitors to easily navigate through the platform and access relevant information without difficulty.
The website features a clean and intuitive interface, easy-to-read content and a logical navigation system designed to help users quickly locate important details about the Games.
Speaking on the development, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, Gbenga Omotoso, described the platform as an important communication tool for the successful hosting of Eko 2026.
Omotoso said the website would provide regular updates throughout the competition while also offering first-time visitors and participating athletes useful information about Lagos and the Games.
He noted that the platform was deliberately designed to be detailed while remaining simple to navigate, ensuring that users can access essential information conveniently.
According to him, the initiative is also part of efforts to promote Lagos as the “Centre of Excellence” and give visitors a better understanding of the city, its people, culture and sporting environment.
The LOC encouraged athletes, officials, sports enthusiasts and members of the public to make use of the platform to stay informed about schedules, activities, announcements and other developments surrounding Eko 2026.
The maiden National Intermediate Games is expected to bring together young athletes from across the country, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their talents, gain competitive experience and contribute to the development of sports in Nigeria.
The unveiling of the website marks another milestone in the preparations for Eko 2026.
