The Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG) joins family, friends, associates and well-wishers across Lagos and Nigeria in celebrating the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.
For CDG, this is more than a birthday celebration. It is an opportunity to recognise a long journey of public service and the responsibilities Dr. Hamzat has carried over the years in contributing to the development of Lagos State.
From his earlier responsibilities in government to his service as Commissioner and his current role as Deputy Governor, Dr. Hamzat has spent several years involved in issues ranging from infrastructure and technology to public administration and development.
As he celebrates this milestone, CDG acknowledges the importance of experience in public service and the value of institutional knowledge in managing a complex and rapidly developing city like Lagos.
His 2027 campaign has presented themes around infrastructure, technology, education, human capital and the future development of Lagos. (Obafemi Hamzat)
CDG believes that the coming period should provide an opportunity for serious conversations about the future of Lagos, the challenges facing its growing population and the policies required to build an even more functional and inclusive megacity.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisation said:
“Today, we celebrate Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for 62 years of life and for the many years he has devoted to public service. We wish him wisdom, strength, good health and God’s continued guidance as he enters another chapter of his life.”
The organisation also wished him success in his continued service to Lagos and Nigeria, while encouraging all political actors and citizens to make the 2027 political process one centred on ideas, development and the future of the state.
CDG said Lagos deserves constructive conversations about infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, education, employment, technology, security and opportunities for young people.
The organisation prayed that Dr. Hamzat’s new year would bring greater wisdom, fulfilment and the strength to continue serving the people.
Happy 62nd Birthday, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
May God grant you many more years in good health, wisdom and peace, and may your continued service to Lagos and Nigeria be marked by meaningful contributions.
