Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that the long-awaited Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge will be fully opened to traffic before the end of the month, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and ease traffic congestion.
The governor made the disclosure while providing updates on major road and bridge projects being undertaken by his administration across Lagos. According to him, final works are being completed on the bridge, paving the way for its official commissioning and full use by motorists.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge is a strategic infrastructure project designed to enhance connectivity between key commercial and residential districts within the state. He explained that the bridge will provide a direct route linking Ojota and Opebi, reducing travel time and offering commuters an alternative to some of the city’s most congested roads.
The governor emphasized that the project reflects his administration’s commitment to delivering modern infrastructure capable of supporting Lagos’ growing population and economic activities. He added that improved road networks remain critical to achieving greater efficiency in transportation and boosting productivity across the state.
